The Pitton Community Shop are interested in hearing from residents about what they would like to see for sale in the shop – particularly food and drink and what type of brands.

The Parish Council undertakes regular roadside litter picks within Firsdown and also down to the Dunstable cross roads and from there to the A30 traffic lights. It is disappointing that 1 such litter pick resulted in the collection of 5 bin bags of rubbish as well as the discovery of a fly tipped commercial blind unit. The latter was so large, that Wiltshire Council were asked to collect and dispose of it on our behalf.
Disposal coffee cups from McDonald’s seem to be a particular issue, dropped between the Dunstable Cross roads and the entrance to Firsdown. They are dropped on a daily basis.
Whilst the Parish Council appreciates that much of this rubbish is probably from traffic passing through our parish, we ask our residents to keep our parish tidy – please take your litter home with you.
