A childrens play area is located on the byway behind Firs Road at the eastern end. The Parish Council own and maintain the equipment. Safety checks are carried out monthly during the winter and every 2 weeks during the summer by qualified members of the Parish Council.
An annual safety audit is carried out by an external supplier.
The play area is fully fenced, gated and divided into 2 sections with a stile between them.
One section is aimed at toddlers and primary school age children, and contains:
- A roundabout
- A slide
- 2 sit on “rockers”
- A see saw
- A set of swings with both conventional seats and a fully accessible basket style seat
- 2 wooden bench seats
The other section of the play area is aimed at older children and teenagers. Within this section is:
- A zip wire
- A rope scramble net
- A shelter with seating
A litter bin is provided.
Signs on each gate provide the contact details of the Parish Council. What 3 Word locations for each section of the play area are provided in the case of an emergency.
Use of the play area is entirely at your own risk. Smaller children should be supervised. The equipment is strictly for use by under 16s.
