Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19):

Coronavirus (COVID-19) case confirmed in Wiltshire

 

 

As you may well have already seen, the UK Chief Medical Officer has today (5 March 2020) confirmed further cases of COVID-19 infection in the UK, bringing the total number of cases to 115.

Three of these cases are residents from Wiltshire who became infected whilst in Northern Italy. The individual is getting all the necessary support from relevant agencies. Please see attached document for more information

The Houghton Trail 3rd May 2020

The 2020 annual  Houghton event takes place this year in Houghton, Stockbridge on May 3rd,
Interested parties can register at https://www.houghton-trail-event.org.uk/registration/.
The event normally attracts around 500 entrants with refreshments by Houghton W.I.
The proceeds will be split between All Saint’s Church and the Village Hall Playground.

Recycling Changes

Wiltshire Council is making it easier to Recycle :

You can now put paper, cans, cardboard, plastic bottles, cartons and plastic pots, tubs, and trays in your blue bin.

Only glass  and textiles will be collected from your black box

Look out for a letter from the council your collection day may change

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
Winterslow Road (Part) Idmiston; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Gomeldon Road
To enable: Dave Lucey Limited to complete a sewer connection
Alternative route: via Winterslow Road (unaffected part) – A30 – A388 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs

Road to Porton Closure

The road to Porton from the A30 traffic lights will be closed (at the traffic lights) 0930-1600 between Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th August to enable the cat’s eyes on this stretch of road to be replaced.
